Merry Christmas

Christmas recap....

Christmas Eve the kids made cookies, opened their Christmas eve gift, which is always new pj's, and headed off to bed. They all sleep in the same bed. This year they slept in Ours (in the "pedry" room, a.k.a- my bedroom, laundry room, and pantry) It was a site. I couldn't even get all of them in the picture.
Christmas morning they have to sing Christmas songs until Nels and I get up. It is the best. I love hearing my kids sing. I have to admit that sometimes Nels and I just lay in bed and laugh. :) After we decide to get up, I take them their stockings and Nels goes and gets Grandma Gayle, Aunt Amy, and Uncle Jim. After all adults are settled in a spot the kids can come running in. I love it. It was wonderful.
Later, in the afternoon, we went to Mtn. Home and had Christmas dinner.
We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you did too.

Merry Christmas

TAA-DAA...The Moore Christmas Tree is up. We waited for Timari to be home and I am so glad. The tree is perfect.
P.S. Don't mind "shirtless Carter". He is always so hot (really! Crazy...i know) that he often sheds his clothing when he is at home. :)

Road Trip...

Sat. we took a little road trip to Pocatello to visit Great Grandma Ruth. We had a wonderful time visiting and laughing with Grandma. She seems to be doing great! We were hoping Timari could meet us there but she already had plans to attend the BYU and USU basketball game.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at the Pippins (my sister's) house, this year. It was wonderful. We went around the table sharing only ONE thing we were thankful for. Jalia was thankful that Timari was home, Gracie was thankful for Jesus (sweet!) and then I shared our WONDERFUL news with everyone. My family was so amazing, not one fell off their chair. :)
Gracie was (and still is) the only one in shock. She is not so sure about being a big sister. She says she likes being the little sister and Timari explained that she would always be a little sister to her, Kelsey, Brogan, Jalia, and Carter but now she can be a big sister, too. It's not working. :) It's going to take some time.

2. My Kiddos... Nels and I are so blessed to have such wonderful, fun, silly, kind, healthy kids.
3. My family... I LOVE being with my family. They are so fun, so supportive, and so giving. I have the best family in the world.
4. My friends...I have the best friends in the world, too. I appreciate everything they do for me.
5. I am thankful to have the things I need.
6. AND...I am thankful for a sweet little surprise due at the end of April. :) Yes...number 7 is on it's way. Can you believe it? SURPRISE!!

Funny Story...

Gracie LOVES popsicles. She can eat them all day, if we let her. The other night she decided to make a sign for popsicles...just in case she needed to ask for another one while she was already eatting one (She is always thinking ahead!). She came up to me and explained all of that to me while holding up her middle finger (that's her sign for popsicle). I tried really hard not to smile. It didn't work. Thank goodness Nels was home. I told her to go explain it all to Daddy, while I was trying to recover and sheild her little finger from the other kids :) Nels then had the wonderful opportunity to explain to her that we probably didn't want to go around asking for popsicles that way. She had plenty of questions, and I will admit that I loved watching and listening to Nels explain everything to her. It's always good for Dads to have that opportunity. He was good, he only cracked a small smile.
Next time you eat a popsicle, think about Gracie and how Nels and I are praying that she listened well enough and will remember what was talked about, because she was pretty proud of herself and her sign.

Does anyone know the real sign for popsicle? Maybe we should work on teaching her that. :)

Playing in PaPa's leaves

*HOPE*

That is my new favortie word....HOPE....
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf spoke in conference about the Infinite Power of Hope and after receiving the Ensign and having the joy of reading the talk, I just want to put the whole talk in vinyl lettering and put it on my wall. :)
Okay, maybe just a few favorite quotes-
*Hope has the power to fill our lives with happiness.
*Hope is a gift of the spirit.
*Hope is not knowledge but rather the abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promise to us.
*Hope is like a beam of sunlight.
anyway, my list can go on and on. It is an amazing talk (as are all). I highly encourage everyone to read it.

What a Night

Before the BSU game After the Game
Carter had a wonderful time at the game.
Thanks again, Skinners!

WAIT A MINUTE......

This was classic of Carter. His two great loves, right now, are....BSU and COUPONS. He was amazed that not only was he going to a game, but he also had coupons on the back. His night couldn't get any better.

Bronco Tickets

This is a cute video of Carter being surprised with Bronco tickets (he loves the Broncos). Randy Skinner gave him the tickets. He loved the game. Thanks so much, Skinners.

TA-DAA

There is NO laundry in the baskets!! Have I finished? WOW!! That does not happen very often. This definitely needed to be documented.
If you looked at my laundry room/storage/pantry/hope-to-be-my-room, soon :)
the baskets are probably still empty, not because I'm all caught up (that is an annual event)but, because everyone just throws the dirty laundry, on the floor, in front of the washer!! Everyone...except Carter. I was doing laundry and he came flying in with his socks and looked at the baskets and read W-I-T-ZZ and threw his socks in the "whites" basket. It was adorable. You have got to love that kid!

WHO NEEDS A FORK??

Gracie's favorite food, right now is Ramen noodles and she refuses to use a fork. She balls them up in her hands and then eats away. It's a site. I hope she grows out of this FAST! I know I only encouraged it by taking pictures...but you've got to document this stuff. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NELS

Happy 37th Birthday.
I was trying to come up with a cute story
for your birthday and I decided to share
this one. When Nels and I were first married
we would end every phone call with ERR, ERR, KISS, KISS.
I'm not even sure if he remembers...but it means
Hugs and kisses. We were (are) sooo cheesey!
It's what love does to ya!
I love you.
Thanks for being so wonderful!
(can you picture Nels saying that? LOL)

We Miss Our Photographer

Timari is an amazing photographer. We miss her and all the pictures she would take. She always dressed them up, did hair, make-up and headed outside for the perfect pictures. I wanted to share some.
Without her around, fewer and fewer pictures are being taken. I try....but she took her cameras :) I do use Brogan's now, though.
We miss you so much, Timari. Love you- like crazy!!

Always an Adventure

This is a Great story...

Monday, was Labor Day and I decided it was going to be a "LABOR" day, at our house. I told the kids and Nels we were all going to work and get things done (didn't know I was that mean, huh?...make them work on their day off) We got a few things done here and there, made a bigger mess in the house, by finding and unpacking some boxes, Brogan and Carter dug up 155 goat head weeds, and by evening the weather was perfect for burning. We had a HUGE pile of weeds and branches that needed burning. Nels lit the pile and it went up in an instant. It was GIANT (for only about 5 min). The boys were so excited they could hardly handle it. What is it about fire and boys/men? Anyway, they ran outside to join the fun, Gracie was asking for "marsnellows", and Kelsey went out too, for a minute. She said " OHH, the fire department is showing up for this one", Carter was so excited about that..he said "REALLY, when?". I told him the fire department was NOT going to come, and flashed Kelsey the "don't say that", look. Kelsey and I went back into the house and a few minutes later we hear sirens coming from down the road. WHAT!! REALLY!! Is that for us? The boys came in saying, "Dad said to come in"...just about that time a firetruck pulled into our drive way- lights, sirens and all. I thought it was hilarious and was hoping Nels was thinking the same thing. Guess what we learned? You need a permit to burn and the fire Nels was burning was too big even if he had a permit. Who knew? The firemen were nice and Nels did not get a ticket. He did have to put the fire out, though. They told Nels that three other trucks were also on there way, because of all the calls they recieved. People were claiming structures were on fire. It made our night. Atleast, I know what I have to do to get firemen here? :) (kidding!!)

If our neigbors were unaware that the "Moores" were back....they know now. "The Moore's are back in town" (sang to the tune of "the boys are back in town")

First Day of School

Carter started 1st grade. He really just wanted to stay in kindergarten forever. His nerves were put at ease, not by me, but by seeing his kindergarten teacher, Miss Barnett (the cutest, sweetest teacher, ever). She gave him a hug and he wouldn't let go...REALLY...he held on tight for a good 5 minutes. It was so sweet. He loves her. She told him she would visit him in his new class room. Everything was good after that and after finding Jon and Russell.

Jalia started 5th grade. She has an AMAZING teacher, Mrs Fadgen, that she also had in the 2nd grade and Brogan had in 2nd and 5th. She is practically part of the family.
Jalia had a great day. She loves school, she loves to be with friends, and she loves her teacher.

Brogan is in 7th grade. He is in Kuna Middle School. He enjoyed meeting his teachers and has a few favorites, already. He was able to open his locker and only got lost once so that made for a great day.

A BIG BIG thank you to Aunt Sissy, who started a wonderful tradition when Timari started kindergarten, of buying the kids their "first day" outfit. She has done it every year and the kids look forward to it. THANKS SIS. I love you.
