I remember when...

.. this little girl demanded everyones attention by singing on a crate box.

.. this little girl cried SCREAMED and walked off the soccer field during a game because the coach told her to run.

..this little girl walked a barbie horse around, and around our deck, because she wanted a real horse so bad.

..this little girl FIRST found her true love of volunteering for the special olympics

Oh my..how she has grown.  She is simply amazing.

Thanks, Sis for the pictures!

Kelsey PUNKY, I love you.

Summer Checklist

The beginning of summer the kids and I made a "Summer Check list". It has all the things we wanted to do.  We have about 21 more things to TRY to do and not that many days left before school starts...ahhhhh!
So far, this is what our summer has been like...some things are on the list..some things should've been added and some things were just not fun, so they are on a completely different list :)
We took over Vegas! LOVED, LOVED, being with my family.

Nels, Josie, and I drove to Nebraska to visit Dalan and Timari.  That was an amazing trip.  It was so fun to spend time with them and Nebraska (where they were, atleast) is beautiful.

We have fished a bit (when I say bit..i mean once).  We didn't catch anything but I think the kids really enjoyed just casting their lines more, anyway.  They are amazingly good at it too.

We celebrated Carter's 8th birthday at a FUN place called BOUNCE.

My sister, Kelsey, and Jalia having a blast at BOUNCE.  They did the velcro wall.  It was soo funny.

The kids and my sister did the famous "Chicken Run" in Melba on the 4th of July. This is my sweet, sweet, nephew, Ty. We brought home 6 new chickens.

Jalia caught a chicken also...hers pooped on her.

The Chicken Catchers!

We have ALSO done Lots, and Lots of swimming  and let's not forget....

teaching Josie how to do silly faces.  This is her surprised face..
LOVE IT!

Memorial day 2010

Every year, on Memorial Day we go to the Bruneau Cemetary. That is where Grandpa Moore is buried and where they also do an AMAZING program for the men and women who have served our country. After the ceremony we head to the sand dunes for a picnic, some hiking, and some hanging out with family. I love it and look forward to it every year.

How many words can your ONE year old say?

I ran into someone at Wal-mart (weird..I know) who told me that Josie should be using atleast 20+ words by now and that I should be worried if she wasn't. Her little girl had a vocab of atleast 30, and that made her an expert...I guess. So, I thought I would let all of you know that Josie DOES have a 20+ vocab..
1. Maaah-that's me
2. Da Da-Nels
3. Da Da-baby (she does sign baby)
4. uh oh
5. Ba-Brogan
6. ughh, while pointing outside-outside
7. ughh, while doing the sign for milk-milk
8. la la-Bela (Kelsey's horse)
9. la la-Elmo
10. uh uh-Binkie
11. mooo-moo
12. uh, while pointing to tv-Barny
13. Hhhhhhhhh-hi
14. baaah-ball
15. dahhhh-dog
16. uhhhhhhh, while pointing to a book-Book
17. uhhh, after you have read a book-Again
18. wahhhhhhh-hold me
19. ughh, while pointing to chair-Eat
20. uuuuuuuut-up

She is AMAZING!...Nothing to worry about! :)

Mothers Day

They even planted them..

She melts my heart...

Grace has been going to TaVaci ( an enriching liberal arts experience for children ages 4-12 here in the Treasure Valley..there's one just down the road from me on King and one in Meridian. Children sing, dance, act, and perform.) She performed for us on Sat. May 8. It was adorable. Way to go, Gracie.

This little Piggy....likes to be rubbed!

When Josie had to wear her braces/boots 23 hours a day, I would count down the time until I was able to hold, rub, and kiss those little feet. I had one hour and I made sure that I used ever minute of it. She would get a bath and then I would hold her, rub and kiss those piggies.. Well, Josie only has to wear her braces/boots at nap time and at bed time now...but she still loves to have her feet rubbed. She will hold her feet in the air so they can be rubbed. It is the sweetest thing in the world. Is that not the cutest foot you've EVER seen...ahh..beautiful!

Happy Birthday...my little "Pie"

Josie's 1st birthday was April 29th. She is our little "Pie"..our "cutie pie", "pumpkin pie", "sweetie pie", and well, you get it. It's hard to believe that she has turned one. She is so much fun. She makes us laugh with her goofy smiles and her fake compliants. She has "DRAMA" written all over her. She pretty much gets whatever she wants from the bunch of us...and not one of us would change that! She really is spoiled.
This last year has gone by so, so fast, because of that we had the family all come and play some "Minute to win it" games at her party. We had tons of fun.
Happy Birthday my little "Pie".

Happy Birthday..."Punky"

Kelsey turned 17 on April 23rd. She earned the nickname "Punky" when she was a little girl because of the way she insisted on dressing and also because of her little attitude she had/has.
Kelsey,
*I love that you are very giving.
*I love that you love all.
*I love that you speak your mind. I never have to guess how you are feeling or what's on your mind. You've always been that way.
*I love your sense of humor.
*I love that you are not afriad to try new things..even when you are afraid of the new things your trying. Does that make sense? Okay, maybe not...let me back up...I can't believe you are going to raise chickens even though you are afraid of them..way to go, Sweetie.
*I love how kind you are to your brothers and sisters.
*I love that you are so willing to help.
*I love that you are always smiling.
*I love that you drive :)
*I love seeing the love that you have for Special Olympics.
*I love the you love to volunteer.
*I love your strong will.
*I love that you know what you want.
*I love your confidence.
*I love your silliness.
*I love the pizza you and Dad make every Sunday. :)
*I love seeing the love you have for your friends.
*I love that you make the best of everything.
and to change this up a bit I would like share what I have learned from Kelsey ..
She has taught me to love unconditionally, to laugh everyday, to be friends with everyone, to step out of my comfort zone sometimes, and friends really don't care if my house is a mess.
I love you. Happy Birthday..Punky.

Happy Birthday...Sis

How fun it is to have someone to share a birthday with. Happy birthday, Sis. I love you. You are an amazing example to me and to my kiddos. I have learned so much from you and I am so very proud of you. I guess it wouldn't make too much sense if I said I wanted to be just like you...because..well, we are twins, but guess what??? I do want to be just like you. :)
Happy Birthday. Thanks for the believe picture and the purse. It was time I stopped using the diaper bag as my purse. I was looking a bit strange walking around with the diaper bag even when I left Josie at home...:) Now, I have to try to not make my purse the diaper bag...hummmmm..that could prove to be tough!

My Roly Poly

Josie's appt in March with Shriners went well. She is doing great. She still needs to wear her brace/boots at night and during one nap. She will return in 6 months. You've got to love those legs! This picture was taken when she had to wear the brace for 23 hours everyday, It's one of my favorites. My sweet little Roly Poly!!
