Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at the Pippins (my sister's) house, this year. It was wonderful. We went around the table sharing only ONE thing we were thankful for. Jalia was thankful that Timari was home, Gracie was thankful for Jesus (sweet!) and then I shared our WONDERFUL news with everyone. My family was so amazing, not one fell off their chair. :)
Gracie was (and still is) the only one in shock. She is not so sure about being a big sister. She says she likes being the little sister and Timari explained that she would always be a little sister to her, Kelsey, Brogan, Jalia, and Carter but now she can be a big sister, too. It's not working. :) It's going to take some time.

Happy Thanksgiving

A few things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving...

1. My amazing husband. I love him so much.
2. My Kiddos... Nels and I are so blessed to have such wonderful, fun, silly, kind, healthy kids.
3. My family... I LOVE being with my family. They are so fun, so supportive, and so giving. I have the best family in the world.
4. My friends...I have the best friends in the world, too. I appreciate everything they do for me.
5. I am thankful to have the things I need.
6. AND...I am thankful for a sweet little surprise due at the end of April. :) Yes...number 7 is on it's way. Can you believe it? SURPRISE!!

Funny Story...

Gracie LOVES popsicles. She can eat them all day, if we let her. The other night she decided to make a sign for popsicles...just in case she needed to ask for another one while she was already eatting one (She is always thinking ahead!). She came up to me and explained all of that to me while holding up her middle finger (that's her sign for popsicle). I tried really hard not to smile. It didn't work. Thank goodness Nels was home. I told her to go explain it all to Daddy, while I was trying to recover and sheild her little finger from the other kids :) Nels then had the wonderful opportunity to explain to her that we probably didn't want to go around asking for popsicles that way. She had plenty of questions, and I will admit that I loved watching and listening to Nels explain everything to her. It's always good for Dads to have that opportunity. He was good, he only cracked a small smile.
Next time you eat a popsicle, think about Gracie and how Nels and I are praying that she listened well enough and will remember what was talked about, because she was pretty proud of herself and her sign.

Does anyone know the real sign for popsicle? Maybe we should work on teaching her that. :)

Playing in PaPa's leaves

*HOPE*

That is my new favortie word....HOPE....
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf spoke in conference about the Infinite Power of Hope and after receiving the Ensign and having the joy of reading the talk, I just want to put the whole talk in vinyl lettering and put it on my wall. :)
Okay, maybe just a few favorite quotes-
*Hope has the power to fill our lives with happiness.
*Hope is a gift of the spirit.
*Hope is not knowledge but rather the abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promise to us.
*Hope is like a beam of sunlight.
anyway, my list can go on and on. It is an amazing talk (as are all). I highly encourage everyone to read it.

Halloween Pictures

We spent Halloween in Mtn Home with my Sister. We had so much fun. Our kids love being with each other.

Gracie as Dorothy

Carter as a skeleton

Jalia as a knome on a toadstool...this was a fun costume to make (yikes!)

Kelsey as a News Caster.
You may be wondering where Brogan is....he wasn't feeling well AND he doesn't dress up anymore. He passed out the candy.
