I was working on getting organized (funny, I know) and found an old disc with these pictures on them and I wanted to share with all. I can hardly believe how much my kids have grown. Enjoy..I know I did.

Kelsey starts 10th grade

I can not believe she is in the 10th grade.

First Day of School

Carter started 1st grade. He really just wanted to stay in kindergarten forever. His nerves were put at ease, not by me, but by seeing his kindergarten teacher, Miss Barnett (the cutest, sweetest teacher, ever). She gave him a hug and he wouldn't let go...REALLY...he held on tight for a good 5 minutes. It was so sweet. He loves her. She told him she would visit him in his new class room. Everything was good after that and after finding Jon and Russell.

Jalia started 5th grade. She has an AMAZING teacher, Mrs Fadgen, that she also had in the 2nd grade and Brogan had in 2nd and 5th. She is practically part of the family.
Jalia had a great day. She loves school, she loves to be with friends, and she loves her teacher.

Brogan is in 7th grade. He is in Kuna Middle School. He enjoyed meeting his teachers and has a few favorites, already. He was able to open his locker and only got lost once so that made for a great day.

A BIG BIG thank you to Aunt Sissy, who started a wonderful tradition when Timari started kindergarten, of buying the kids their "first day" outfit. She has done it every year and the kids look forward to it. THANKS SIS. I love you.

He got a guitar for his birthday. He has been asking for one for a while now.

He writes all his own songs (not kidding) and sings them to us.

An Official Aggie

We took Timari to Logan so she can attend Utah State.
It was HARD.
When she was little I read the "What to Expect" books. They were packed full of info...how you are suppose to feel when your expecting, how you were going to feel after giving birth, how to handle a one year old, how to make it through the terrible twos, so on and so forth....
any way...WHY is there not a book about sending your child to college? I could have used one. I guess I will write it.
It will be called "What to Expect When Your Child leaves for College" Look for it. :)
I've come to the conclusion, that the feelings you have when you are a new parent are the same when you send one to college.

I'll write more later. Maybe....

It's All About Family

My Uncle Dahrl, his wife Lisa, and kiddos Ayden and Adriene come for a visit. I haven't seen my Uncle in 16-17 years. I was so excited. Tues. was the big day. Nels took off work and we all headed to Baumgartner to meet my Uncle, his family, the Pippin family and my Mom and Dad. It was a wonderful day. We did some fishing, swimming, 4-wheeling, hot spring soaking, laughing, and picnicing.

Happy Birthday Carter

Carter turned 6 on Mon. Aug 11. we celebrated at Chuck E Cheeses with friends and family. We had a great time. I can hardly believe he is 6.

Hermie is ALIVE!!

Today, Carter brought me "Hermie" his hermit crab and told me he thought he was dead.We ran a few tests, like blowing inside the shell, running water over him, and poking his little pincher-he did not come out. It was official..."Hermie" had died. Carter was very, very, sad. We decided to take him outside and bury him. While we were digging (brogan was) Carter looked at "Hermie" and said, "WAIT, I see his antenna".
HERMIE IS ALIVE!!
We almost buried him alive. (that wouldn't win me any mom awards, that's for sure!)

Lesson learned.......Hermit crabs do not move much and come out ONLY when THEY want to...not when you blow on them or even try to drown them in water.


And...Yes I took pictures! :)

Goals...for this week

1. DISHES DONE AT ALL TIMES...wow!! Anyone who really knows me- knows that this is a tough one. I always have dishes, in my sink.

2. WORK ON LOSING WEIGHT...gee wiz..I'm picking some tough goals. This one is obviously one that will take longer then a week, but, I think I've got to work on a few issues before I can really concentrate on this.... like, why were all my pets, when I was a kid, named after food. We had a dog named "Cookie", a cat named "Twinkie" and an iguana named "Pickle". Shouldn't that have been a red flag for my parents? These are all still favorites of mine.
Why couldn't we have named them "Excersise", "Jog", or even "Rice Cake"? :)

3. GO FOR WALKS...I can manage this one.

4. INDIVIDUAL TIME WITH EACH KID....this one is so important that it really needs to be at the top, before the dishes.

5. THANK YOU CARDS...I really need to get out some thank you cards for everyone that helped us when we were moving. We couldn't have done it without you.
If I don't get to this goal this week....you know who you are...and I appreciate EVERYTHING everyone helped us with. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

Guess What Song???

I love this little video of Gracie singing, it's absolutely adorable. You can't understand a word she is singing until she gets to "nobodys perfect".
It was pretty cute when she watched the video-she said...."what am I saying? I can't understand me?"
She has become a HUGE Hannah Montana fan.

"Megan Montana" ??

Megan is too cute. She loves listening to her MP3 player, singing out loud, and dancing.

Cousin Time

Emalee and Ryan spent the night at our house. We love having them over. I thought about going and doing something "fun"...but they were having way too much fun doing stuff around here.....I love that!!!!
We do have a small petting farm with chickens, kittens, bunny, sheep, horses, and dogs. We also have games to play, like the Wii and DS, and Emalee loved the lawn mower rides, Uncle Nels was giving out.
Who needs to go anywhere?

MAKEOVER

Gracie loves to give makeovers. She had been begging Kelsey to let her do one to her. Kelsey finally gave in and this is the beautiful result.

My hiccups...

Okay...Brogan insisted on putting this video on the blog.
Whenever I get hiccups the kids think it is so funny. I look like a drunk in this video, but it's just the fact that I am depriving my brain of oxygen.
Cheap entertainment for the kids...that is for sure. They all need to be grateful they didn't inherit these.
