This is what Nels and I got for Christmas from, Gracie. On one side it says "if we don't have windows, we can still see" (our windows are old and some are broken and boarded up, waiting for new ones to be put in) and "it's not bad not having a door bell" (nope..we don't have one). One the back side it says "it's not bad having a little house, because we have a home. What a very sweet little girl. A lesson well taught!! I proudly display this little piece of paper, in my kitchen to remind me to be thankful for everything that I have.

Summer Checklist

The beginning of summer the kids and I made a "Summer Check list". It has all the things we wanted to do. We have about 21 more things to TRY to do and not that many days left before school starts...ahhhhh!

So far, this is what our summer has been like...some things are on the list..some things should've been added and some things were just not fun, so they are on a completely different list :)

We took over Vegas! LOVED, LOVED, being with my family.

Nels, Josie, and I drove to Nebraska to visit Dalan and Timari. That was an amazing trip. It was so fun to spend time with them and Nebraska (where they were, atleast) is beautiful.

We have fished a bit (when I say bit..i mean once). We didn't catch anything but I think the kids really enjoyed just casting their lines more, anyway. They are amazingly good at it too.

We celebrated Carter's 8th birthday at a FUN place called BOUNCE.

My sister, Kelsey, and Jalia having a blast at BOUNCE. They did the velcro wall. It was soo funny.

The kids and my sister did the famous "Chicken Run" in Melba on the 4th of July. This is my sweet, sweet, nephew, Ty. We brought home 6 new chickens.

Jalia caught a chicken also...hers pooped on her.

I am thirty...something years old and just had my first manicure and pedicure. It was so fun. Jordyn you are amazing and who knew my feet could recover from so many years of neglect. It was nice to be pampered. Thank you.

Memorial day 2010

Every year, on Memorial Day we go to the Bruneau Cemetary. That is where Grandpa Moore is buried and where they also do an AMAZING program for the men and women who have served our country. After the ceremony we head to the sand dunes for a picnic, some hiking, and some hanging out with family. I love it and look forward to it every year.

I ran into someone at Wal-mart (weird..I know) who told me that Josie should be using atleast 20+ words by now and that I should be worried if she wasn't. Grace has been going to TaVaci ( an enriching liberal arts experience for children ages 4-12 here in the Treasure Valley..there's one just down the road from me on King and one in Meridian. Children sing, dance, act, and perform.) She performed for us on Sat. May 8. It was adorable. Way to go, Gracie.

When Josie had to wear her braces/boots 23 hours a day, I would count down the time until I was able to hold, rub, and kiss those little feet. I had one hour and I made sure that I used ever minute of it. She would get a bath and then I would hold her, rub and kiss those piggies.. Well, Josie only has to wear her braces/boots at nap time and at bed time now...but she still loves to have her feet rubbed. She will hold her feet in the air so they can be rubbed. It is the sweetest thing in the world. Is that not the cutest foot you've EVER seen...ahh..beautiful!

Josie's 1st birthday was April 29th. She is our little "Pie"..our "cutie pie", "pumpkin pie", "sweetie pie", and well, you get it. It's hard to believe that she has turned one. She is so much fun. She makes us laugh with her goofy smiles and her fake compliants. She has "DRAMA" written all over her. She pretty much gets whatever she wants from the bunch of us...and not one of us would change that! She really is spoiled.
This last year has gone by so, so fast, because of that we had the family all come and play some "Minute to win it" games at her party. We had tons of fun.

Josie's appt in March with Shriners went well. She is doing great. She still needs to wear her brace/boots at night and during one nap. She will return in 6 months. You've got to love those legs! Josie is almost 11 months. Can you believe that?
.. She has FINALLY learned to crawl, she can pull herself up, she can say "Mom-ma", but she isn't wanting me, it's what she calls her binky. Nels is trying to get her to call me "binky" now. He thinks he is so funny :). She can also say "Da-da" and yes, she is wanting her Daddy. She knows how to get picked up by the kids, especially Brogan. She can also point where she would like Brogan or one of the other, easily convinced siblings to take her...it's usually outside. She loves to be outside and she loves animals. She has to interlock her fingers with yours when she is tired (the sweetest thing EVER) and she is such a gift. She has an appt at Shriners this Tuesday and I am looking forward to see what they think about her foot.

July 29, 2009 Josie is finally done with the castings, and got fitted for braces. It was a very, very hard day and night. She cried...I cried. We kept everyone up (we had a hotel room). She finally feel asleep about 5:00 am and when she woke at 7:30 (the BEST 2 1/2 hours ever!) she was herself again. She was happy and content, and has been since. She has to wear her braces 23 hours a day. She has an hour for some kicking and a bath. She does prefer to have them on, though. She never makes the full hour. She gets a bit fussy-until I put them on again.

...while in Utah we spent some time with Timari...LOVED IT!! She took some great pictures of the kids for me. Thanks, Sweetie. I miss you.

July 31, 2009 Nels and I celebrated our 20th anniversary. :) Wow! How grateful I am to be married to my best friend.
Now..Aug seems to be flying by and Josie seems to be getting bigger everyday. That makes me sad.

Every week when I travel to SLC for Josie's foot Timari, and Aunt Amy also make their way down. Timari drives from Logan and Amy drives from Orem. It has been so nice to spend time with them. It is also so neat that Timari is able to get to know her baby sister on a weekly basis.

Josie's is doing very well. She will get another cast next week and then surgery the following week. After surgery she will wear a cast for 3 weeks and if all goes well she will move on into braces.

This is what her foot looks like now.

She gets to take a bath after they take the cast off, and before they put on the new one. She has come to LOVE them.

Her hair is curly when it is wet...very straight, and sticking up everywhere when it is dry.

Josie's foot is doing amazing. We love Shriners and feel so blessed. They will do a few more castings and will decide for sure about surgery, then she will be fitted for braces.

We went to the orthoapedic doc on thursday and they put Josie's first cast on. She will go back every week for a new cast until they get her foot turned. When her foot is finally turned she will wear a brace. She is doing great.

I love this picture of Grace. Josie was a bit fussy and Grace popped her finger in her mouth without a second thought and without missing a minute of Word World, one of her favorite shows. It worked!! Josie was happy a fell back to sleep. I thought it was so funny.

She was born with a club foot, but we were already prepared for that, because they saw it in the ultra sound. It's really pretty cute. She does have an appt on Thurs with an orthopedic doc.

We had our Easter egg hunt and dinner with my family on Sat. It was alot of fun. I LOVE being with my family. They are the best. And we have the best time together.

These kiddos could hardly wait for Papa's famous egg hunt. This picture tells alot about how HUGE it is. They have multiple Easter buckets, backpacks, and even a toy shopping cart all ready to race outside. I love it.

Spring Break at Timari's

We spend every spring break with my sister and her kids. We always have so much fun. This year we decided to stay close (something about me being pregnant :) ) but then we decided to go visit Timari and see her apartment and invade her space, basically. It was great. We couldn't do any outside activities because it was snowing, but she did take us to some fun places. Thanks Timari!

Yes...soccer has started again. Can you believe it? Jalia played her first game of the spring season, this morning in 29 degree weather. Yikes! She did a great job, despite the cold, though. Way to go Jalia!

This is what Carter looked like after spending the night at Aunt Sissy's. He loves being with his cousins and loves the blue spiked hair Sissy did for him.
This is Gracie and her new hair style that Sissy did. She had light pink, dark pink, blue, and silver in her hair. Her hair is still pink....after almost two weeks. Thanks Sis. :)

Ryan (cousin) wanted to help Gracie play basketball. He is the sweetest kid around.

Gracie loves him so much. I heard her tell some friends today, that she is "in love" with her cousin Ryan because he is so nice.

We are amazed at how much she looks like Timari.

in the house Carter did think she was Timari. :)

Kelsey has been pretty busy this last week.....she has started driving, volunteering with the Special Olympics, and got her braces off. Out of those, I am going to have to tell you, that being a volunteer for the Special Olympics is at the TOP. When we pick her up (can't drive at night, yet), she has a smile that I can't even explain. She is having so much fun and has so many great stories. She is a wonderful example to us. "Way to get out there and do what you love, Punkie. We love you." :)

Jalia turned 11 on Friday. She had a fun birthday party on Sat. with a few of her friends and lots of her family, at a ceramic place and then back home for some fun singing competition. Kelsey made the cake, and Daddy made the pizza. We had a lot of fun.

The kids Elementary schools had a fund raiser at the rollerdrome, last night. I wasn't able to skate but had Kelsey and Hayley help with Carter and Gracie. It was so fun to watch them. They had a blast. I am a bit dissappointed, in myself, that Jalia is 11 (birthday-today) and that was the first time she had ever been. When Tim and Kels were younger we went all the time. I LOVE roller skating. After this little bundle of JOY is born I'm going to try to get the kids skating more. It's so fun.

Christmas recap....

Christmas Eve the kids made cookies, opened their Christmas eve gift, which is always new pj's, and headed off to bed. They all sleep in the same bed. This year they slept in Ours (in the "pedry" room, a.k.a- my bedroom, laundry room, and pantry) It was a site. I couldn't even get all of them in the picture.
Christmas morning they have to sing Christmas songs until Nels and I get up. It is the best. I love hearing my kids sing. I have to admit that sometimes Nels and I just lay in bed and laugh. :) After we decide to get up, I take them their stockings and Nels goes and gets Grandma Gayle, Aunt Amy, and Uncle Jim. After all adults are settled in a spot the kids can come running in. I love it. It was wonderful.
Later, in the afternoon, we went to Mtn. Home and had Christmas dinner.
We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you did too.

TAA-DAA...The Moore Christmas Tree is up. We waited for Timari to be home and I am so glad. The tree is perfect.

Sat. we took a little road trip to Pocatello to visit Great Grandma Ruth. We had a wonderful time visiting and laughing with Grandma. She seems to be doing great! We were hoping Timari could meet us there but she already had plans to attend the BYU and USU basketball game.
